Department Grads, Faculty, and Staff Gather for a ‘Party at the Farm’

Saturday, September 24th – Faculty, staff, and graduate students from the UNC Charlotte Department of Physics and Optical Science gathered at the Boreman Family Farm in Salisbury to celebrate good food, good times, and good company. About sixty attendees enjoyed the Southern barbecue catered by local joint The Smoke Pit, in addition to visiting with the farm’s horses, peeking at an abandoned gold mine, fishing at the catch-and-release pond, and roasting marshmallows on the bonfire. Thank you to our Department Chair, Dr. Glenn Boreman, and his wife, Maggie Boreman, for hosting this excellent event, and we appreciate all who contribute every day to both the field of physics research and to making our department such a fun and rewarding place to work.
